Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team. This role involves delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of nursing practices.

Position Overview

As an Emergency Department RN, you will be responsible for assessing and treating a diverse patient population. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with critical and life-threatening conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to interventions.
• Utilize advanced equipment and technology to support patient care, including ventilators and IV medications.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in departmental initiatives to improve workflow and enhance patient care delivery.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS.
• Experience in an emergency department setting preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

• Trauma Level III facility with a comprehensive stroke center.
• Able to manage 75+ patients daily with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
• Continuous support with in-house security, respiratory therapy, and access to diagnostic imaging services.

Scheduling

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available.
• Weekend and holiday work is required, aligning with departmental staffing needs.

Orientation

Candidates must be available for orientation during the designated week, which may include remote modules.

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs are required while on duty.
