Our organization supports a healthy work-life balance, maintaining normal business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the nature and severity of mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. This involves utilizing established assessment tools and techniques to gather relevant information.

• Collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances and goals, ensuring a focus on their mental well-being.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), targeting mood disorders and enhancing coping mechanisms.

• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress throughout therapy, utilizing feedback to modify treatment plans and strategies as necessary.

• Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, collaborative approach to care that meets clients' diverse needs.

• Stay informed about the latest developments and research in mental health to ensure that therapeutic practices align with current best practices.

• Keep meticulous and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, requiring a culturally competent approach to therapy and an understanding of the complex impact of societal factors on mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates possessing a Master's degree.

• Proven proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly focused on mood disorders.
