Logistics Coordinator

Logistics CoordinatorSeeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee inbound and outbound transportation for a scrap metal/recycling operation. This role manages truck and rail shipments, supervises company and subcontracted drivers, coordinates fleet maintenance, and ensures transportation compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate inbound pickups and outbound shipments of ferrous and non-ferrous materialsManage truck and rail transportation schedulesSupervise company drivers and subcontracted driversCoordinate maintenance and repairs for trucks, trailers, equipment, and tiresMaintain DOT, DMV, FMCSA, IFTA, and other required transportation documentationEnsure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulationsMonitor shipment schedules and operational needsCommunicate effectively with drivers, operations, maintenance, and leadershipAssist with load covering and securing as neededQualificationsTransportation, logistics, or fleet management experienceExperience supervising driversStrong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulationsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and prioritiesExperience in scrap metal, recycling, trucking, or industrial operations preferredClass A CDL preferredValid Medical Card preferredAbility to work evenings or weekends and be on call when necessary
