Fleet Services Advisor - Portland, ME

28 to 32 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Lucas Tree Experts , a leader in the tree care industry, is growing and looking to add a Fleet Services Advisor at our Riverside Street location in Portland Maine. This is a full-time, hourly position, working Monday-Friday with some overtime as needed to meet business demand. Travel is not typical in this role. Pay is dependent upon experience. Previous experience in fleet, transportation, automotive, equipment, logistics, purchasing, or related administrative evnvironment is preferred.

 

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, communicating by telephone and email both with internal and external customers, using computers and fleet related systems, and preparing accurate reports and cost comparisons to support fleet management decisions. Strong attention to detail, data entry and communication skills required. The Fleet Services Advisor will be responsible for service advising, vendor and inventory management, and support across a decentralized fleet with a mix of light medium and heavy duty vehicles, Aerial lifts, off-road equipment, wood-chippers, trailers, and ATVs.

 

Job Duties include, but not limited to Day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Fleet & Logistics Director, parts ordering and purchasing, shipping, scheduling and managing repairs; coordinating off-road equipment transportation and repairs. Follow up with vendors, repair facilities and internal personnel to obtain updates on vehicles and equipment. Maintain organized and accurate records and documentation. Must be comfortable communicating professionally at all levels both on the phone and in-person. Regular use of the telephone, computer, email and electronic business systems to answer questions, obtain information, resolve routine issues, follow up on outstanding items and communicate fleet status is required.

• Strong telephone, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and effectively use fleet managment systems and other business software
• Ability to maintain organized and accurate records
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and follow through on outstanding items.
• Strong organizational and time management skills 
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually
• Able to lift and move 25 pounds
• Required: Highschool diploma, GED or equivalent
