This contract opportunity places dynamic Speech-Language Pathologists in supportive educational settings, with immediate openings at several school sites and flexible full-time scheduling options. You will partner with educators and families, serving students within high school, elementary, and middle school populations. Opportunities exist to split your schedule, currently structured as follows: four days weekly at Wilde Lake High School (with the fifth day at a middle school, aiming for a full five days at the high school); four days at Forest Ridge Elementary (plus one at a middle school, with the intention to expand to five days at the elementary); and three days weekly at Hammond Middle School. There’s flexibility to combine assignments for those seeking full-time hours across locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Maryland
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Recent experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
- Ability to provide services onsite within district schools
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a diverse student population
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to address each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to support academic and functional achievement
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and legal requirements
- Provide both direct therapy and consultation as needed
