Company Description Anchor Points Counseling is a trauma-focused counseling practice led by a Certified Trauma Specialist with advanced training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. The practice centers on helping clients heal from painful past experiences and current struggles, with an emphasis on restoring a sense of safety in the present and hope for the future. Anchor Points Counseling specializes in trauma across the lifespan, from early childhood through adulthood, and works extensively with survivors of sexual assault, individuals with PTSD, and other stressor-related disorders. The practice also has deep expertise in addiction, including its impact on family systems, creating a comprehensive therapeutic environment for clients with complex histories. Role Description The Trauma Therapist will provide individual psychotherapy to clients experiencing trauma-related symptoms, PTSD, stressor-related disorders, and addiction-related concerns in a compassionate, evidence-based manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering ongoing trauma-informed therapy (including modalities such as Prolonged Exposure or related approaches), and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The therapist will collaborate with the lead clinician and, when appropriate, coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources. The role also involves periodic case consultation, participation in professional development activities, and contribution to a supportive practice culture. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Huntingdon Valley, PA, with a combination of in-office sessions and some work-from-home flexibility. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field; Must have active licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist) in Pennsylvania. Demonstrated experience providing trauma-informed therapy to adults and/or children, including work with PTSD, sexual assault survivors, and stressor-related disorders. Knowledge of evidence-based trauma treatments (e.g., Prolonged Exposure Therapy, CBT for trauma, EMDR or similar modalities) and willingness to engage in ongoing training and supervision. Experience or familiarity with addiction treatment and understanding of the impact of addiction on individuals and family systems. Strong clinical assessment, case formulation, and treatment planning skills, including the ability to identify limiting belief systems and support clients in developing healthier coping strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work effectively with diverse clients. Ability to manage a full-time caseload, complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, and use electronic health record systems or digital practice tools.
