ResponsibilitiesLeads the design and optimization of AI/ML models, ensuring alignment with business needs and scalability requirementsDevelops, deploys, and refines AI-driven solutions, integrating generative AI and NLP models as neededDesigns and maintains efficient AI data processing frameworks, enabling seamless model deploymentOversees model governance, ensuring compliance with security and enterprise AI policiesResearches and experiments with new AI techniques to enhance model accuracy, efficiency, and interpretabilityGuides AI implementation strategies, working closely with engineers, data scientists, and business teamsDrives best practices for AI model deployment, automation, and machine learning operations (MLOps)Collaborates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectivesImpacts single project, extending collaboration with multiple teams and impacting broader project functionalitiesDesigns and builds end-to-end production AI systems, integrating machine learning models, LLMs, and supporting services into scalable applicationsDevelops AI capabilities including training pipelines, inference services, retrieval architectures, and evaluation frameworksEnsures AI systems meet enterprise standards for reliability, explainability, observability, and regulatory compliance, proactively identifying improvementsQualificationsExperience in software development with a focus on machine learning, generative AI, Big Data, and prompt engineeringExperience in working with large language models (LLMs), especially GPT-3.5/4 or similar AI modelsExperience in languages such as Python or RExperience in deploying AI models and pipelines using machine leanring operations toolsExperience in machine learning algorithms and experience applying them to real-world problemsExperience in continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and containerized deploymentsExperience in building and maintaining data pipelines and extract, transform, and load processesExperience delivering end-to-end AI systems in production, including design and operational ownershipExperience with distributed systems design, scalable APIs, and cloud-native AI infrastructure, including monitoring and optimizationAdvanced expertise in a technical domain and moderate expertise in a new, different technical domainDepending on factors such as business unit requirements, the nature of the position, cost and applicable laws, American Express may provide visa sponsorship for certain positions.
