Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic

Base wage plus commission, Seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. Candidate must have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy duty trucks. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Truck Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

*Duties*

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs .
* Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
* Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment..
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.

*Qualifications*

* Five years mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and repair.
* Strong mechanical knowledge including but not limited to brake repair, tire service, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment maintenance.
* Ability to read schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting..
* Comfortable working with various types of machinery including tractor-trailers and forklifts.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
