Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Plant ManagerLocation: Rockaway, New JerseyPlant Operations & PerformanceProvide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facilityEnsure timely, cost-effective production while maintaining high quality standardsEstablish and maintain production standards and schedules to meet company and customer requirementsRemove production constraints and allocate human and equipment resources to achieve operational goalsAnalyze productivity and efficiency data to improve operational performance and cost effectivenessSafety & ComplianceMaintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including:Workplace inspectionsIncident investigationsEmployee training and safety communicationsCorrection of substandard acts or conditionsRecognition of safety performanceAdherence to all legislated safety requirementsLead and support the Plant Safety Committee and all site-wide safety initiativesQuality ManagementWork closely with quality personnel to review product consistency and monitor scrap ratesIdentify trends and implement corrective actions to improve quality and reduce wasteParticipate in and lead investigations where product quality is in questionDevelop and implement procedures to improve quality standards and ensure adherence to all processesContinuous ImprovementPromote and support a continuous improvement culture across all departmentsActively support Lean Manufacturing, 6-S, Six Sigma, and other CI initiativesEncourage participation from all employees in improvement activitiesFinancial & Planning ResponsibilitiesParticipate in long-term planning and departmental schedulingEstablish and manage departmental budgets based on sales forecastsDemonstrate fiscal responsibility by reviewing P&L and budget performance regularlyPrepare and present production, financial, and operational reportsPeople LeadershipTrain, develop, and build a high-performing, engaged workforce across all levels of the plantProvide strong leadership, coaching, and performance managementFoster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environmentDrive alignment with company core values, including valuing people, ethics, safety, and environmental leadershipCustomer & Inventory ManagementCoordinate sales order acceptance and plant commitmentsEnsure accurate inventory levels and production planningBuild and maintain strong internal and external customer relationshipsConduct all work in accordance with established procedures, policies, and standardsTravel as required to support other Infra Pipes manufacturing facilitiesWhat you must have:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentFluently bilingual in English and SpanishPlastic manufacturing experience is considered an assetSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferredStrong understanding of budgeting, expense management, and basic financial and accounting principlesProven leadership, team-building, and advanced coaching skillsDemonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement and Lean toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levelsSelf-motivated, decisive, and able to perform effectively under pressureStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheet analysis
