Staff Product Designer This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer based in United States. This is a senior product design opportunity focused on making complex financial workflows intuitive, clear, and engaging for users. You will own design across the full product lifecycle, from customer research and problem definition through prototyping, implementation, launch, and iteration. The role combines deep product thinking, interaction design, visual craft, and close collaboration with engineering, customer experience, and executive stakeholders. You will work directly with customers to understand their workflows, uncover meaningful problems, and translate insights into effective product decisions. AI will be an integral part of the design process, supporting research, exploration, prototyping, and creative problem-solving. As a Staff-level designer, you will also influence design direction, strengthen shared patterns, and help elevate the quality of work across the broader team. This is a remote-first role for a designer who enjoys complex problems, meaningful ownership, and high standards of craft. Accountabilities Own the end-to-end design process for assigned product areas, from customer research and problem definition through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration. Partner closely with engineering, customer experience, and executive stakeholders to identify high-value problems, explore solutions, and establish coherent product direction. Engage directly with customers through interviews, workflow observation, usability testing, and other research methods to understand needs, behaviors, and pain points. Translate customer insights and business context into clear product concepts, design decisions, and actionable recommendations. Explore multiple solution approaches and create realistic prototypes that help teams evaluate usability, behavior, feasibility, and product direction. Design polished, accessible, and intuitive interfaces with strong attention to interaction details, visual quality, and overall user experience. Incorporate AI tools and techniques throughout the design process, using them for research, ideation, exploration, prototyping, and design execution while applying sound judgment to evaluate their outputs. Make informed design tradeoffs and establish direction while remaining open to feedback and new information. Contribute to and improve shared design systems, patterns, processes, and standards. Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with peers to raise the quality and consistency of design work across the team. Clearly communicate design rationale, decisions, constraints, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Remain engaged through implementation to ensure the final product reflects the intended experience and quality standards. Requirements At least 7 years of exceptional product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, interaction design, visual craft, and shipped digital products. Demonstrated ability to work across the complete product design process, including research, problem framing, ideation, prototyping, detailed design, implementation, launch, and iteration. Strong interaction design and visual design capabilities, with a focus on creating simple, clear, polished, and intuitive experiences. Experience tackling complex products, systems, workflows, or information structures and making them easier for users to understand and navigate. Strong product judgment and the ability to establish direction, evaluate tradeoffs, and make informed decisions in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Demonstrated leadership through design work, including the ability to influence product direction and improve outcomes across projects without relying solely on formal authority. Practical experience using AI as part of the product design process, with the ability to explain how AI supports research, ideation, prototyping, or execution and how its outputs are evaluated. Strong customer empathy and research skills, with experience engaging directly with users and incorporating their feedback into product decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and explain design decisions clearly. High attention to detail and commitment to quality throughout both the design process and final product implementation. Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment and collaborate across the Americas' working hours.
