Description: This position is for a registered nurse in an intermediate care unit. The facility has a total of 225 beds and offers various specialty services. The unit focuses on cardiac and stepdown patient populations. It operates under a telemetry monitoring system. The patient ratio is 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for stepdown patients. Common diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, and post-surgical care for heart surgery patients. Teamwork is essential in this role. The dress code requires scrubs in blue or navy, and jeans are not permitted. The position involves working every other weekend and may require floating to other units if needed. Preferred skills include experience with PCU and low-level ICU patient care.
