Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery for a seasonal travel assignment. The RN will provide high-quality maternal and fetal care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting high-risk labor and delivery cases.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including oxytocin and Mag sulfate, following hospital protocols.
• Assist with procedures such as C-sections, inductions, and fetal monitoring, including IUPC and Doppler use.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and execute individualized care plans for patients.
• Educate patients and families on delivery processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR system, following hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute care hospital L&D experience.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, and demonstrate proficiency with Fetal Monitoring (EFM).
• Strongly prefer candidates with circulating C-section and high-risk LDR experience.
• Exhibit compassionate, friendly, patient-centered care and excellent teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a busy obstetric setting and demonstrate solutions-oriented thinking.
