Student Help Job Summary: Job Description The University Camp Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Conference and Event Services staff to ensure the success of the Summer Camps and Conferences Program. This includes, but is not limited to, running the camp counselor's safety meetings, putting together and organizing the camp counselor's safety packets, assisting with camp communications, acting as a liaison between the camp directors and full-time professional staff, and taking notes during meetings with camp directors. This position runs from May 15th - August 15th, 2026. This position reports to Conference and Event Services. They are responsible to the Event Coordinator. Department Conference and Event Services Compensation $13.50/hour The University Centers Student Employment Program Wage Classification Scale classifies this position as Division III, Range I . Required Qualifications Students applying for this position must pass a Criminal Background Check initiated by the University Centers. Applicants for this position must demonstrate leadership skills, organizational skills, and be able to work with limited or no supervision. This position typically works 25 or more hours per week and may not work more than 40 hours per week, including regular scheduled office hours. These hours will cover weekday hours, as well as some nights and weekends. This position runs from May 15th - August 15th, 2026. Preferred Qualifications Some experience with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP. Education The University Camp Coordinator must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
