Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position located in Somerset, Kentucky. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Somerset, KY
• Position: RN, Cardiovascular ICU
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2+ years of experience in Cardiac ICU, efficient in rhythm interpretation, ability to assist with bedside procedures, drips, and vents, Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with STEMI, NSTEMI, PE, cardiogenic shock, post catheterization care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required based on census.
• Additional Information:
  • Weekend hours rotate every other weekend, 12-hour shifts.
  • Unit has 12 beds with patient ratios up to 4:1 depending on acuity.
  • Equipment includes vents, swans, balloon pumps, art lines, etc.
  • Dress code: Scrubs in royal blue, no open-toed shoes, no jeans, tattoos acceptable but not offensive, no spandex or sport clothing, no open-area crocks or large piercings.
