This position is for an Operating Room Open Heart Nurse located in Alexandria, Louisiana. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role involves providing independent and comprehensive nursing care within a clinical setting, with a focus on operative and open heart procedures. The schedule is day shifts, and the position is full-time.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
• Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, with shifts starting on 07/13/2026
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via the American Heart Association (AHA), current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via the AHA, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or a compact license, and at least 0 years of related nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in Operating Room Open Heart nursing (preferred).
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care in the Operating Room for open heart procedures, including assessment, medication administration, patient education, and documentation. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. Address patient and family psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
• Additional Information: The candidate must be available for on-call responsibilities during the week and on weekends, with call during weekdays and weekends. The organization is seeking a qualified professional to fulfill a vacant position due to staffing needs.
