Machine Operator – Automotive Manufacturing
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $24.00/hour + $0.50 Shift Premium (2nd Shift)
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Express Employment Professionals is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a leading automotive manufacturer in Detroit. This is a long-term opportunity with competitive pay for candidates with automotive manufacturing or robotic assembly experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and robotic assembly equipment.
- Load and unload automotive body parts from production machines.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform light metal finishing as needed.
- Pack completed parts into shipping racks.
- Report machine malfunctions or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all safety procedures and production work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of machine operating or automotive manufacturing experience .
- Experience working on robotic assembly lines is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and quality specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
