Why you?You thrive in fast-paced environments under tight deadlinesYou relish new challenges and evolving technologyYou proactively build and sustain relationships with clients and general/ sub-contractors, both while on the job and through networking outside of work.You like to proactively communicate with client and your team at all timesYou enjoy providing leadership and project management guidance on design build pursuits and project deliveryYou have a drive to get resultsWhat it takes: Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects from project initiation through constructionCoordinate with owners, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to facilitate integrated project deliveryAssist in developing procurement documents, including Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and contract documentsParticipate in proposal evaluations, technical reviews, and procurement activities while maintaining confidentiality and procurement integrityCoordinate engineering design reviews and monitor design progress for compliance with owner requirements, standards, and project objectivesSupport risk identification, risk management workshops, and mitigation planning throughout project developmentAssist with project scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, and value engineering effortsReview design packages, construction documents, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and change requestsMonitor project performance related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safetyCoordinate utility, environmental, permitting, right-of-way, and stakeholder activities as requiredPrepare technical reports, presentations, meeting agendas, and project documentationFoster collaborative relationships among project stakeholders while supporting innovation and continuous improvementEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, agency standards, and contract requirementsTravel as required to meetings and events (site walk-throughs, proposal meetings, design reviews, progress meetings, conferences) involving preconstruction and construction activities for opportunities and projects (30%)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering disciplineEngineer in Training (EIT) certification desired; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframeThree to five years of progressively responsible engineering or construction experience, preferably involving transportation or public infrastructure projectsWorking knowledge of engineering design principles, construction practices, and project management fundamentalsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentExperience with state departments of transportation or other public infrastructure agenciesKnowledge of procurement regulations and qualifications-based selection processesExperience using scheduling software Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Bentley, Autodesk, or similar engineering and project management softwareExperience with estimating and estimating softwareExperience facilitating multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder engagementFamiliarity with risk management, value engineering, and quality management processesAA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability
