This position plays a key role in processing accounts receivable (AR) transactions, month end functions, supporting accounts payable and cash operations as needed, and completing assigned account reconciliations. This role helps ensure accurate financial records, timely payment applications, proper cash controls, and compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. This role is 100% onsite.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwn all Accounts Receivable functions including:Ensure that group billings and accounts receivable are collected promptlyAccurately apply daily cash receipts to guests, group, corporate, and other accounts receivable balancesResearch and resolve unapplied cash, unidentified payments, short payments, overpayments, and account discrepanciesBuild and communicate AR aging to the sales team and review outstanding balances weekly; track and assist the sales team in reporting AR agingReview and reconcile all AR accounts to the general ledger monthlyMonitor cash overages/shortages and investigate variancesPrepare bank deposits and ensure that periodic bank and cash reconciliations are completedPrepare and file monthly sales tax returnsBackup accounts payable processing and support vendor payments as neededOwn month-end closing process within the first 10 days of each monthAssist the Controller in preparing year end audit work papersCollaborate with department managers and team members to resolve accounting issuesPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:Must be flexible, dependable, and able to multi-task while managing priorities and initiativesAbility to work independently and in a teamGood verbal, written, and analytical skillsExperience handling cash and maintaining strong internal controlsUnderstanding of advanced accounting principles and reconciliation processesProficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced environmentResponsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfactionMaintains a proactive "can-do" attitudeEducation & Experience:Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field requiredMinimum of 3-5 years of advanced accounting experience requiredAccounts Receivable experience required; hospitality or resort accounting experience preferredWork EnvironmentThis role is 100% onsite.Physical DemandsPrimarily stationary (sitting or standing for extended periods)Ability to communicate in person and by phoneOccasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting boxes or items up to 50 poundsExpected Hours of Work:8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends.Travel:Less than 10% travel is required.
