Java Backend Developer (Greenwood Village)

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on Java development experience , particularly in backend application development.
• Experience developing applications using Scala , as one of the team's existing applications is built in Scala.
• Strong experience designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering principles, best practices, and collaborative development environments.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools , preferably Kiro and Claude , to improve development efficiency and productivity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, and cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in software architecture, application design, or technical solution design.
• Experience participating in architectural discussions and contributing to technical design decisions.
• Ability to work across multiple applications and coordinate with different technical teams.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute to a team-oriented development environment.

Additional Role Information

• The team primarily develops applications using Java , with Scala being a key requirement for supporting a specific application.
• While software architecture experience is highly desirable, it is not mandatory .
• The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on backend developer who can contribute to application development, participate in technical design discussions, and collaborate effectively across the team.
