Key Responsibilities Ensure the completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation in accordance with federal and state standards. Provide patients with orientation regarding program objectives, phase system requirements, rules, regulations, sanctions, hours of services, patient rights, and additional information. Assess and place each patient according to treatment phases in accordance with federal and state standards. Maintain all clinical documentation and patient charts in accordance with established policies. Provide crisis counseling by identifying resources and coping strategies. Counsel patients who refuse program requirements to increase awareness of consequences. Arrange referrals to other agencies and community resources as appropriate. Participate in case conferences and case reviews per policies. Develop knowledge of federal, state, and agency regulations regarding confidentiality, methadone treatment, and substance abuse counseling certification. Submit all internal and external correspondence to supervisor for review and approval. Complete intakes and facilitate group counseling sessions. Collect and test urine/swab drug screening following proper chain of custody. Secure necessary documentation from patients to ensure compliance. Submit monthly and quarterly statistical reports to supervisor. Attend supervisions, team meetings, and complete all required training. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s Degree (or higher) in a related field such as chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or nursing. Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a related field with at least 1 year of clinical experience. Master’s Degree or above with a relevant major and practicum in a drug and alcohol setting (or a written plan to achieve competency). CADC certification (or enrollment in CADC certification courses).
