Pharmacy Technician | Charlottesville, Virginia

Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support medication distribution and customer service at a healthcare site in Charlottesville, VA. This contract role requires careful handling of prescriptions and clear communication with patients regarding their medication use.

Schedule:

Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (9 hours daily), from June 30 through July 24, 2026

Location:

Charlottesville, VA

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately distribute medications prescribed by physicians and other licensed health practitioners
Provide patients with information about medications, their proper use, and answer questions
Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction and safe medication handling

Desired Qualifications:

Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician License
Experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care settings is preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in medication handling
Ability to work independent shifts throughout the scheduled contract period
