Job Details Position: NICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Location: San Antonio, Texas 78258 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Shift: 12-hour day shifts Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 4 weekend shifts per schedule; no mandatory on-call shifts Unit Type: Level III NICU Unit Highlights: 24-bed neonatal unit with a strong multidisciplinary care team and advanced neonatal equipment Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required Level III NICU experience required Experience with BCPAP, HFNC, and nasal cannula management Proficiency in PIV insertion and management Experience providing feeder-grower care NRP and BLS certifications required Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced neonatal environment Preferred: ventilator management, UAC/UVC, and PICC management experience Preferred: ability to attend deliveries Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill and special care newborns in a Level III NICU Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support and advanced neonatal interventions Perform and assist with procedures such as PICC placement, UVC/UAC placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, EKGs, eye exams, lab draws, arterial blood draws, IV placement, and heel sticks Support deliveries and assist with newborn transition as needed in Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery/Nursery float areas Collaborate with physicians, neonatal staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal care Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Contribute to a positive, helpful, and team-oriented unit culture Apply now to join this rewarding travel nursing job in San Antonio, TX and make an impact in neonatal healthcare today.
