Job Title: Service Manager

W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for a Service Manager - Trailer. We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We are also the nation’s largest full-service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer. We have 26 facilities including mobile, throughout Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Chicago, and Ohio.

Position Summary:

The Service Manager will oversee all aspects of the trailer service department. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality repairs, efficient operations, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader who can effectively manage and develop a team of technicians while remaining hands-on to support diagnostics, repairs, and training when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of heavy-duty trailer technicians to achieve department goals in safety, efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards
• Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, quality of repairs, customer communications, and repair prioritization
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies
• Perform quality control checks on completed work to ensure accuracy and safety
• Provide hands-on support and training in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and actual repairs of heavy-duty trailer repairs if needed
• Conduct technician training, reinforcing proper repair techniques, and company standards
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including labor efficiency, productivity, attendance, and customer satisfaction
• Manage work orders, and customer invoices
• Collaborate with parts, sales, and administrative teams to ensure smooth interdepartmental communication and operations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, promoting a culture of safety and accountability
• Drive continuous improvement through process evaluations, technician feedback, and performance reviews

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Heavy-duty trailer repair
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills; able to perform hands-on repairs and lead by example
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to train and mentor technicians with varying levels of experience
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills

Compensation: Pay depends on experience.
