Utilizing Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, Relationship-Based Care, and NorthBay's professional nursing practice model, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for assigned patients. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health, ensuring care is tailored to the physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient. The RN is expected to demonstrate competency in applying the nursing process, provide culturally competent and ethical care, and act as a patient advocate. Additional responsibilities include effective communication, documentation, delegation, and contributing to a positive patient care experience.
