Description

We are looking for a Certified Invasive/Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join Statesville Cardiovascular Clinic and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients. The person in the Physician role will be responsible for meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients in our clinic and providing them with healthcare services that meet state and national standards for caregiving. They will be responsible for prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery from diagnosed health issues, prevent future health issues and/or promote a healthier life. The right candidate will have a passion for providing diagnostic services to patients and will enjoy working closely with other healthcare professionals in our organization.

We are Iredell Health System, a prominent healthcare organization nestled 35 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina. Our system is anchored by a 247-bed hospital, Iredell Memorial, situated in Statesville, NC. We are a longstanding 501c3 organization deeply rooted in our community for 70 years! • This is an employed position of Iredell Physician Network, affiliated with Iredell Health System.

• Share call with 7 other providers.
• Hours: M-Th 8:30 a.m. - 5p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• EMR System: Cerner
• Main type of procedures/patients seen: Age 18 and older. Procedures performed: pacemaker insertions, battery changes, loop recorder insertions, lexi-scans, stress echoes, echoes, ABIs, carotids, heart catheterizations, stents, etc.
• Invasive/non-invasive: Depending on the MD and their experience.
• Number of locations: We have three locations but mainly looking for someone for our Statesville office, with the potential to see patients at the Troutman practice in the future.

Requirements

• NC Medical License and DEA, eligible
• Must be BC in Cardiology (board eligible if new grad)
• Requires current BLS Certification
• No board sanctions or actions in last 10 years
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
• Ability to serve without prejudice or judgement regardless of lifestyle, race, economic status, age, or religious affiliation of patients.
