Engineering ManagerWe're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Manufacturing and Process Engineering function. This is a senior leadership role with real impact — you'll shape how we design, optimize, and execute our production processes while developing a talented engineering team and partnering closely with operations, quality, supply chain, and sales.What You'll DoLeading Your TeamCoach and develop Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technicians through the full product lifecycleHold regular one-on-ones focused on career growth and technical developmentServe as the bridge between engineering and the rest of the business — translating customer needs into team priorities and communicating capabilities and constraints clearlyNegotiate timelines and priorities across departments with fairness and transparencyResolve conflicts thoughtfully, keeping team morale and technical excellence in balanceProcess & OperationsOwn manufacturing process design, optimization, automation, and standardization across machining, assembly, and secondary operationsLead continuous improvement initiatives with a hands-on approach — focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and costDrive structured problem solving for complex engineering and production challengesChampion standard work, visual management, and data-driven decision makingDefine and track 5–8 key performance metrics aligned to company prioritiesReview job routers for accuracy before release — operation sequence, resources, standards, and outside servicesCross-Functional & CapitalPartner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales to support daily production and long-term growthOversee capital planning, equipment selection, installation, validation, and commissioningSupport new product and process introductions including DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, and control plansEnsure engineering change management is controlled and consistently executedTechnical & ComplianceServe as the site's technical escalation point and manufacturing subject matter expertEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality system requirementsSupport off-shift and weekend production as needed to keep the business runningWhat You BringRequired:8+ years in manufacturing or process engineering within a precision manufacturing environment4+ years leading or managing engineering teamsStrong background in precision CNC manufacturingExpert-level proficiency in CAD/CAM systems (Autodesk, SolidWorks, Mastercam)Solid PLC programming skills — troubleshooting, optimization, and logic interfacesStrong working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvementApplied understanding of GD&T and engineering drawingsExperience with ERP systems (Epicor or equivalent)Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systemsBachelor's degree in Engineering required; extensive equivalent experience will be consideredPreferred:Advanced degree or relevant certificationsMetallurgy or materials backgroundSix Sigma or similar formal CI certificationWho You AreYou're equally comfortable in a strategy conversation and on the shop floor.
