To provide a comprehensive guidance program PK-12.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
Instructional Skills:
- Teaches District approved curriculum.
- Provides counseling services to individuals, small groups, and large classroom groups.
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students.
- Provides agency referral information.
- Consults with parents regarding the developmental needs of students.
- Responds to crisis situations when appropriate.
- Lead the student 504 processes.
- Assists and proctors ACT, ASVAB, WorkKeys, EOC, MAP, etc., where applicable.
- Create and update ICAP where applicable.
- Transition implementation pre and post-secondary where applicable.
- Participate in, coordinate or conduct activities that contribute to the effective operation of the school.
- Assists in the development of the master schedule for the building where applicable.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Participates in professional development activities.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm toward the teaching profession.
- Follows the policies and procedures of the school district.
- Annually analyzes the counseling program in a report to the Board.
- Is available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Maintains confidentiality, and unquestionable integrity.
