Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

Kachemak Medical Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing outpatient primary care practice in Homer, Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys practicing full-spectrum family medicine in a supportive, team-oriented clinic environment. Our practice provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with the exception of prenatal care. Position Highlights Outpatient primary care practice Treat both adult and pediatric patients Flexible scheduling (4 or 5 day work week) Collaborative team environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, and chronic lung conditions Perform minor procedures including suturing and splinting/casting when appropriate Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies Perform preventive health exams and annual physicals Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate Collaborate with advanced practice providers and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Eligible for Alaska medical licensure prior to start date Experience in outpatient primary care preferred Schedule Option for five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts #J-18808-Ljbffr Anchorage Sleep Center
