Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector I Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Day Shift. Hourly: $24.00 - $34.00. About This Opportunity The Quality Inspector I is responsible for in-process inspection, lot inspection, and creating and compiling quality reports for the Sheetmetal division. Responsibilities Prioritizes inspections based on workload and job priorities. Inspects products at receiving and incoming inspection from suppliers, specifically plating and custom-made parts using applicable measuring tools and test equipment. Inspects products in-process (first piece) supplied by the operator, checking the product against the print, work order (notes), and other pertinent documentation using applicable measuring tools and test equipment. Advises operators of deviations found upon inspection. Performs lot inspections on products ready to move to the next operation, checking the product against the print, work order (notes), and other pertinent documentation using applicable measuring tools and test equipment. Creates and compiles quality records as defined by the Quality Management System and/or customer specific requirements. Records inspection results into the Kebrite software, which is linked to Visual Manufacturing. Undertakes additional responsibilities or activities as required by the Quality Manager, Sheetmetal. Assists the Director of Quality in maintaining ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of manufacturing fabrication or inspection experience. Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Good understanding of mathematics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Familiarity with quality management systems and calibration. Knowledge of general inspection methodology, metrology, plating, and painting. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat or Foxit. Proficient in English reading, writing, and communication. Skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in inspections. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus. Experience working with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality standards. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication. #J-18808-Ljbffr
