Responsibilities Design and document mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and control systems for aviation, education, civic, tribal, commercial, and federal facilities. Produce drawings, specifications, diagrams, 3D models, and reports that align with project goals. Perform calculations such as load analysis, energy modeling, and equipment sizing. Apply building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry guidelines to ensure functional, compliant solutions. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination efforts. Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated outcomes. Support QA/QC efforts and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews and site observations. Lead project documentation and mentor junior staff (mid- and senior-level roles). Soft Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and with clients. Critical thinking and creativity in solving complex design challenges. Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Mentorship mindset, with a willingness to guide and support junior team members. Clear, professional writing and verbal communication skills. Initiative in identifying solutions and improving workflow efficiencies. Qualifications Entry-Level / EIT: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, FE exam passed, 0-2 years of experience. Mid-Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure, 5+ years of progressive experience, demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects. Senior Engineer: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, active PE license, 10+ years of progressive experience leading mechanical design. Proficiency in Revit. Strong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination.
