Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years in acute care License: Valid state respiratory therapy license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT, CRT, PALS, NRP (if NICU experience) Must-Have: Previous charge experience Patient ratio experience Charting system experience Adult critical care experience Trauma Level II experience preferred Ventilator management experience Description: Seeking a registered respiratory therapist for an acute care hospital. The candidate will cover various units including ICU, ED, MS, and NICU if experienced. The facility operates as a Level II trauma center and has three ICUs. Staffing levels range from 7 to 10 RTs depending on patient census. Responsibilities include providing ventilator management and critical care support. Experience with advanced respiratory modalities such as BiPAP and high-flow nasal cannula is required. Duties involve interpretation of arterial blood gases, extubation, and tracheostomy care. Candidates should be proficient in troubleshooting mechanical ventilation equipment. Experience in a NICU setting is preferred for applicable candidates. This position may require floating based on facility needs. The candidate must be prepared to participate in interdisciplinary support and collaboration. Please ensure all certifications are in compliance with requirements. A supervisory reference is necessary for submission. All candidates must have a compact license or appropriate state license in hand.
