IT Support Analyst — global financial technology firm, contract to perm, $33–$36/hr*

$33–$36/hour | Contract to Perm (12 months) | Onsite | New York / Chicago

Our client is a globally recognised, high-performance financial technology business operating at the very top of the trading industry. They're looking for an IT Support Analyst to join their onsite helpdesk team — supporting a demanding, technically literate user base where responsiveness, professionalism, and attention to detail matter.

This is a 12-month contract with a clear path to permanent for the right person. Fully onsite Monday to Friday. If you're early in your IT career and want to build your experience inside a world-class technology environment, this is a strong place to do it.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Respond to and resolve technical support requests via phone, email, and in person

- Maintain and support desktop PCs, laptops, hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows 11 and MacOS)

- Document, track, and monitor issues through to resolution — keeping users informed throughout

- Troubleshoot basic network issues and escalate where required

- Support users in virtual desktop environments

- Identify recurring problems and contribute to process improvements

- Other duties as assigned — this is a roll-up-your-sleeves environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 2+ years of IT helpdesk experience — this is the baseline requirement

- Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, MacOS, and Microsoft Office applications

- Basic understanding of network principles and troubleshooting

- Excellent customer service skills — you're patient, professional, and clear under pressure

- Self-motivated, organised, and highly reliable — predictable availability is essential in this environment

- Strong written and spoken English communication skills

- A genuine interest in technology and a desire to keep developing

- Bachelor's degree preferred — strong candidates without a degree will be considered

- Experience with virtual desktop environments is a plus

THE PACKAGE

- $33–$36 per hour depending on experience
