Wound Outpatient Nurse (RN)Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health!The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on standards of care and professional nursing practice, accountable for the outcomes of nursing care deliveries in the outpatient Infectious Disease setting.What you will doAssist physician with all exams and procedures and treatments.Assess and document patient status, vital signs, and current medications during treatment visits.Prioritize and triage patients in clinics and in hospital, with some concerns are called in by phone. Report pertinent information to physician and document in patient chart and obtained physician signature.Maintained chart rounds patient log.Forwarded patient list and pathology reports prior to meetings to covering physician in the absence of attending physicianWork collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to determine if additional treatments or changes in care are requiredWitness patient consent form with physician.Educate patients and caretakers on wound care, infection and injury prevention, and pressure ulcer (bed sore) careEducation QualificationsAssociate's Degree in nursing. (ADN)Bachelor's Degree in nursing. (BSN)Experience QualificationsClinical RN experience, PreferredOncology/Infusion RN experience, PreferredLicenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nursing (SCLLR), required. RequiredBasic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
