Anvil offers generous benefits such as: Medical coverage- medical, dental and vision (HRA), and LTD Paid time off 401k enrollment and % matching contributions Tuition reimbursement Cell phone/Cell phone reimbursement Gym membership reimbursement The Assistant Controller's chief tasks include but are not limited to: Reconcile and/or oversee all G/L accounts Reconcile and/or oversee bank account reconciliation Reconcile loan payments and maintain loan schedules and spreadsheets Monitor cash flow and project funding requirements Manage cash applications and billing accuracy Fixed assets management & reporting Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger, including fixed assets and lease accounting (ASC 842) Prepare and/or oversee various reporting of federal, state, and local tax Assist in preparation of financial statements Assist with annual financial audits Prepare and or oversee various management reports Oversee the operation of accounting activities for all entities Develop and maintain documentation system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk and to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization Oversee production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards Work with external auditors and provide needed information for annual audits Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government requirements Provide guidance on accounting matters and cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with GAAP and business objectives. Produce lease schedules according to ASC 842 Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Required skills: Excellent management and supervisory skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and time management Strong financial analysis, problem-breaking, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with large ERP systems, accounting tools, and advanced Excel; experience with Vista/Viewpoint accounting software is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration Ten years or more of related experience required Construction industry experience is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Anvil Builders
