Electronics Technician

As an Electronics Technician, you will perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on boards. You will be skilled in using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, analyzers, and other electrical testing equipment. Responsibilities include assembling electrical or electronic systems, adjusting or replacing components to ensure conformance to specifications, and reading and interpreting schematic drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding equipment.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic components to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
  • Confer with supervisors to plan or review work activities or resolve production problems.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in assembly, electronics, electrical, mechanical, soldering, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and testing circuits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Trade School Certificate.
  • 1+ years of experience performing component level troubleshooting and repair of analog and digital circuits.
  • An associate's degree in electronics or a similar technical field is preferred.
Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing setting with approximately 30 employees. The work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The environment includes a shop floor and bench areas, supporting cutting-edge electrical projects in electronics industries. This is a contract-to-perm opportunity offering long-term career growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wappingers Falls, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
