MRI Technologist - Weekender Days

Role Overview: MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequency technology within magnetic fields to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct MRI procedures, analyze data, and assist licensed practitioners while ensuring patient safety and optimal imaging quality. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct patient information, prepare patients, and ensure confidentiality. Apply appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles. Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities accurately. Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and transfer data securely. Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members. Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks and assist with interventional procedures. Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs. Qualifications & Skills Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment. Experience in radiologic technology or MRI preferred. Knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and patient care best practices. Work Environment & Additional Details Work is performed in a clinical setting, with adherence to policies and procedures.
