Cosentino's Sunfresh is seeking reliable and customer-focused overnight cashiers to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions during the overnight shift (9 PM - 5 AM). The ideal candidate should have strong cash handling skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle various tasks, including operating the point of sale (POS) system, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently operate the cash register and POS system, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with bagging merchandise.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cleaning and stocking merchandise.
• Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising products as needed.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with customers and team members.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cash handling procedures and basic arithmetic.
• General knowledge of customer service principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Experience with cash register operation.
• Possess a positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a retail or restaurant operation environment.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
• Experience with selling techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional desired skills: leadership, management, sales, cleanliness, arithmetic, operations.
