Licensed/Pre-Licensed Primary Therapist - SUD Treatment

Location: Warsaw, VA

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Facility Type: Inpatient

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Primary Therapist to join an inpatient addiction treatment program in Warsaw, VA. The Primary Therapist will provide individual and group therapy to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

This role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, crisis intervention, case management, and coordination of care with an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral health environment and is committed to providing person-centered, trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group therapy to adult clients.

• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Establish treatment goals and conduct ongoing clinical reviews.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Provide crisis intervention and support when needed.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families.

• Coordinate services and advocate for client needs.

• Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.

• Licensed or license-eligible clinicians preferred.

• Master's-level new graduates are welcome to apply.

• At least 1 year of experience working in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment is preferred/required.

• Experience with addiction treatment and recovery models.

• Knowledge of relapse prevention and chemical dependency.

• Experience working with dual-diagnosis/co-occurring disorders.

• Strong treatment planning and clinical assessment skills.
