Location: Lake Como, PA

Contract Duration: Full-Time Seasonal (June 8 – August 19, 2026)

Compensation, Perks & Living Accommodations

• Weekly Salary Rates:

• Registered Nurses (RNs): $1,200 – $1,500 per week

• Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs): $950 – $1,200 per week

The Role & Clinical Scope

We are recruiting dedicated, patient-centered Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our collaborative 4-person nursing team for the 2026 summer. Working alongside peer clinicians and visiting doctors, you will handle walk-in triage, routine medication rounds, and daily camper health care within our 8-bed infirmary.

• Daily Triage & Direct Care: Deliver attentive nursing care and walk-in clinical evaluations in our structured camp health clinic; assist in organizing health center operations prior to camper arrival.

• Medication Administration & Tracking: Manage daily medication roll call (approximately 30% of campers receive daily scheduled prescriptions); interface with regional pharmacies for prescription refills; maintain precise digital charts in the camp’s secure health software.

• Diagnostic & Safety Demonstrations: Administer basic point-of-care testing (such as rapid strep tests); lead concise safety briefings for camp counselors (e.g., proper emergency EpiPen deployment).

• Family & Team Communication: Provide clear, reassuring, and timely medical updates to parents, camp leadership, and clinical colleagues.

• Emergency Preparedness: Respond decisively to pediatric injuries or acute illness; execute established emergency protocols for off-site urgent care or hospital transfers (local EMS response times average 25–30 minutes, emphasizing the need for strong initial triage).

Minimum Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in good standing.

• Minimum of 4 years of post-licensure professional nursing experience.

• At least 3 years of clinical experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations (ages 6–17).

• Comfort demonstrating and explaining basic first-aid procedures to young adult camp staff.

• Strong organizational, time-management, and clinical communication habits.

• Complete readiness to live on-site in Pennsylvania for the full contract window (June 8 – August 19, 2026).
