The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.ResponsibilitiesProvide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eatingRemind clients to take prescribed medicationHelp with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)Assist with personal care and hygienePlan and prepare mealsComplete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do soPerform housekeeping dutiesReport any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyOffer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessaryQualificationsEnjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skillsAbility to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodationsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationValidated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive mannerWillingness to enforce health and safety standardsSupportive and compassionateTake pride in providing high quality careA Special Touch In-Home Care is a locally owned and operated company that provides compassionate, individualized care to the elderly and disabled residents of the Kanawha Valley and surrounding areas.
