Chinese/Mandarin Transcription Specialist

ProSidian is seeking a Chinese/Mandarin Transcription Specialist for Transcription Services. This position is for program support on an Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay basis located in the Mid Atlantic and listed under an Instructor Level I Labor Category as a key personnel mid-level professional aligned under services related to NAICS: 541930 - Translation and Interpretation Services.

This role will support the City of Charlotte's mission of ensuring the delivery of quality public services and promote the safety, health, and quality of life of its citizens with Translation, Transcription, and Interpretation services.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Transcribe Mandarin audio recordings into written English or Mandarin text.

Desired qualifications for Chinese/Mandarin Transcription Specialist candidates include:

• Proven experience in audio transcription.
• Degree in Language Studies preferred.
• Strong typing and listening skills.
• Detail-oriented, accuracy in punctuation and grammar.
• Security clearance may be needed.
• Experience in legal or business transcription.
