Position Overview We are seeking a Vehicle Feature / Systems Requirements Engineer to support the definition, analysis, and management of vehicle-level functional and system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in SYS.1 / SYS.2 requirements engineering and a strong understanding of how vehicle features are translated into system-level requirements. Candidates with Vehicle Feature Owner (VFO), Vehicle Function Owner, System Engineer, or Functional Architect experience are highly preferred. This role will work closely with Systems Engineering, Architecture, Design, Software, Validation, and Requirements Management teams to ensure vehicle requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and aligned with intended vehicle functionality. Key Responsibilities Define and maintain vehicle and system-level requirements based on feature and functional intent. Analyze customer, vehicle, regulatory, and program needs and translate them into clear technical requirements. Decompose vehicle functions and features into system-level requirements and interfaces. Perform requirements analysis, clarification, and impact assessment for new and modified vehicle features. Identify requirement gaps, conflicts, ambiguities, and inconsistencies. Maintain requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Architecture, Software, Hardware, Design, and Validation teams. Participate in requirements reviews and support requirement approval and release activities. Analyze system validation issues and determine potential requirement impacts. Support change management and assess downstream impacts of requirement changes. Ensure requirements are measurable, verifiable, consistent, and technically feasible. Support resolution of technical issues related to vehicle functionality and system behavior. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, requirements engineering, automotive systems, or product development. Experience with system or software requirements development. Understanding of requirements decomposition and traceability. Experience working with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Codebeamer, or Jama. Understanding of automotive development processes and system engineering principles. Experience working in cross‑functional engineering environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Vehicle Feature Owner, Vehicle Function Owner, System Engineer, Functional Architect, or Requirements Engineer. Experience with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE). Knowledge of SYS.1, SYS.2, SWE.9, or related ASPICE processes. Experience with vehicle-level functions, system architecture, or feature development. Knowledge of INCOSE Systems Engineering principles. Experience with requirements impact analysis and engineering change management. Experience analyzing software/system validation issues. Experience in EV, powertrain, thermal, chassis, body, access, cabin, connectivity, or other vehicle domains. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a Systems Requirements Engineer or Vehicle Feature Owner who understands how customer and vehicle features are converted into clear, testable system requirements and can work effectively across multiple engineering teams.
