Job Description National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation and we provide home, auto, accident, and health insurance through a large network of independent agents and direct to consumers. Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. We’re seeking experienced Auto Adjusters to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll investigate automobile claims by reviewing police reports, gathering witness statements, verifying coverage, and determining liability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to helping customers navigate challenging situations with confidence and care. Key Responsibilities Partner with assigned reps from fraud or subrogation areas to achieve best outcome. Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and potential property damage. Identify customer needs and meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills. Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it. Apply intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department. Handle investigation regarding all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with discretion and independence within increased level of authority. Total compensation includes base pay plus incentive pay (commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable.
