Podiatrists must be competent in the provision of medical services in specialty field, consistently demonstrate the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner and to handle workplace stress appropriately, and provide leadership by example within clinic team. The OMP Staff Podiatrist is dedicated to OMC’s Mission, Vision, and Values.***EDUCATION**** Graduation from an approved school of podiatric medicine and surgery* One of the following:* completion of one-year postgraduate podiatric medical training program, approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education of the American Podiatric Medical Association OR* fulfillment of certification by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) or the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (ABPOPPM).* Maintains appropriate continuing medical education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements***EXPERIENCE**** Two (2) or more years of podiatry experience preferred***LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS**** Board-certified or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in area of specialty; recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements* Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington* Maintains current DEA registration* Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff #J-18808-Ljbffr
