Construction Project Engineer

What we offer YOU: $50k-$65k – commensurate with experience Medical Dental Vision 401K Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability What you’ll be doing: Gain thorough understanding of business through interaction with senior level Project Managers and Superintendents. Review architectural drawings and specifications for assigned projects, develop an initial scope document, and establish the project in multiple bid solicitation software platforms. Organize and review subcontractor/vendor bids and perform bid leveling on received bids. Assist the Project Manager in performing buyout of the job and coordinating subcontract and vendor PO creation with the Project Administration team. Attend pre-construction meetings and collaborate with the Project Manager throughout the entire project to drive it to completion and exceed customer expectations. Request and compile material and labor pricing to finalize change order requests. Create and maintain project logs and status reports as required by the Owner. Assist Project Manager and Project Administration teams in collecting the information necessary to submit monthly project pay application packages. Schedule and conduct review meetings with senior-level Project Managers to assess project status and provide feedback. Create and disperse O&M manuals and close out documents. What you need to succeed: Associate or 4-year college degree, preferably with a major in Building Construction or related field. Must be willing to travel by car or plane Valid Driver’s License Prior work experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred, as well as holding a working knowledge of the estimating and management of construction jobs. Excellent knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (includes Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred. Experience with or knowledge of Procore is preferred. Experience with or knowledge of On-Center OST or other digital take-off or estimating software application(s) is preferred. Experience with or knowledge of Bluebeam or On-Center OST (or other digital take-off or estimating software applications) is preferred.
