Medical Billing Representative (Patient Coordinator)

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits;  not a temporary job )

Location: Allison Park, PA 15101 (On-site – Outpatient Clinic setting)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (Mon/Wed 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Tue/Thu/Fri 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; no weekends or holidays required)

New Hire Starting Base Pay: $18.79 – $21.10 per hour (Starting pay based on experience, with clear advancement pathways as you build specialized expertise.)

Future Earning Potential: Established employees have the opportunity to earn progressive pay increases up to $28.03 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and continuous learning.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Education & Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer Service / Administrative Background: 2 years of experience in a medical office, patient billing, high-volume medical office experience required.
• Technical Skills & EHR Familiarity: Proficiency with personal computer applications and typing skills required; prior experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Medipac required.
• Medical Office Operations: Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance benefit verification processes required.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Patient Check-In & Technology Assistance: Warmly greet patients, manage front desk arrival workflows, and guide individuals through self-arrival kiosk options and biometric registration.
• Point-of-Service Collections & Financial Guidance: Educate patients on co-payments and financial obligations, collect point-of-service payments, and connect patients with financial advocacy resources.
• Patient Registration & Scheduling: Verify insurance coverage via online platforms, update patient demographics, schedule follow-up therapy visits, and assist with ancillary service bookings.
• Patient Portal Engagement: Educate patients on patient portal navigation, assisting with account registration to support ongoing access to health information.
• Administrative & Clinic Support: Manage phone calls, triage clinical inquiries, obtain signed HIPAA consent forms, and perform office duties including record scanning and faxing.
