Position Summary

Quality Tube USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to work with our Mechanical Maintenance team at our Midlothian, Texas manufacturing facility.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will work to ensure that equipment, machinery, and systems are properly maintained, repaired, and kept in optimal working conditions. This includes interpreting technical plans and manuals, applying preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and contributing to plant efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Technically skilled in mechanical maintenance and repair
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Safety-oriented and responsible
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Conduct inspections and repairs on equipment and systems
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify machinery as needed
• Interpret and create technical drawings for maintenance purposes
• Report equipment status and recommend improvements
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed thoroughly and safely
• Collaborate with supervisors to identify and resolve critical equipment issues
• Maintain work areas and tools in clean and safe condition
• Use appropriate PPE
• Perform other related tasks to support maintenance operations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 years of experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment .
• Mechanical repair and troubleshooting
• Technical drawing interpretation and creation
• Use of measuring instruments and hand tools
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and standards
• Report writing and documentation
• Attention to detail and diagnostic ability
• Safety compliance and hazard awareness
• Teamwork and communication
• Time management and task prioritization

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in steel manufacturing, tube/pipe manufacturing, ERW, metal fabrication, or heavy industrial manufacturing .
• Experience with industrial automation and production equipment.
• Experience with equipment reliability and downtime reduction.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or quality management systems.
