Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: CST Certifications: NBSTA and DORA certifications required, BLS required Must-Have: Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital experience as CST Ortho/Joint experience Description:Travel position for CST in the operating room.The unit has 14 ORs staffed by a team of about 70 FTEs.Day shift includes 1 charge, 1 RN, and 1 surgical technologist per OR, along with PCTs and trauma team members.Night shift staffing consists of 1 charge, 1 RN, and 1 surgical technologist.Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1, but not guaranteed.The department uses Meditech as its electronic medical record system.Candidates should possess experience in neuro and transplant procedures with a preferred background in ortho/spine.Ideal candidates will be team players with a high level of accountability, expertise, and self-direction.Flexibility is required for day/evening hours, and on-call shifts may be assigned.
