Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate engineering activities focused on the technical support, design, and development of commercial solar and energy storage systems. Recruit, mentor, and develop a talented engineering team. Support the engineering project management team, gaining insights into their responsibilities. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Evaluate current SOPs and workflows to identify opportunities for enhancement. Ensure timely, accurate, and budget-conscious project completions. Negotiate contracts with external vendors. Manage relationships with engineering consultants and equipment suppliers. Review engineering works for accuracy and compliance with established principles. Assess RFPs and contract documents carefully. Serve as a liaison with Project Management regarding engineering progress, quality, and scope issues, while addressing customer technical inquiries. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and best practices in the industry. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical preferred. 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in PV design engineering and 2+ years in an engineering management role. Battery and storage experience is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Project management and time management proficiency. Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships. Expertise in solar system design software (Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVsyst). NABCEP Design Specialist Certification is preferred. Knowledgeable in electrical (NEC) and fire codes. Experience in preparing electrical engineering design packages.
