Essential Duties and Responsibilities You will be responsible for all aspects of Accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cost accounting, general ledger, fixed assets, audit, etc.). Direct and supervise a large team of people, by proactively managing and coaching the team to provide employee development opportunities. Manage and deliver timely the monthly financial close process to include: a) preparation and/or review of journal entries, b) assurance that all costs incurred are properly recorded, and c) completeness of account reconciliations. Oversee variance analysis and review expenses by financial statement line item for reasonability, investigate unusual amounts, make any corrections as necessary, and determine root cause and solutions. Interact at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month‑end close and all internal management and financial reporting. May include revenue recognition and lease accounting. Participate in the ongoing development & establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies to include the review and implementation of process and system changes. Drive continuous process improvements leveraging digital technology, and support the development and enhancement of the ERP platform to ensure systems integrity, financial effectiveness and controls. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Define and maintain department KPI’s. Ensure compliance with internal control policies. Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns. Perform other duties and corporate finance projects as assigned by Finance Director. Sitting for extended periods of time The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and listen. Work Environment Primarily office‑based role with regular movement throughout the manufacturing facility to support operations and finance activities Requires walking through production, warehouse, and shipping areas to gather information, observe processes, and collaborate with operational teams Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment, while following all required safety protocols Must be able to navigate the facility safely, including climbing stairs, standing for short periods, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Work environment involves balancing desk‑based analytical tasks with on‑the‑floor engagement to understand operational drivers and support decision‑making Qualifications Competencies Required: Relevant accounting experience in Manufacturing. Apply GAAP accounting standards related to revenue recognition, lease accounting and asset capitalization. Experience with accounting software JDE / QAD or similar ERP platform is a plus. Ability to quickly comprehend a complex organizational structure, including the general ledger structure and various financial systems, is essential. Proven ability to leverage current technology to drive process efficiency and improve accuracy Advanced analytical skills in combination with excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptionally well organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. Advanced and demonstrated proficiency with Excel. Self‑motivated with the ability to multi‑task, work independently and with minimal direction. High energy, high ownership of work products and dedication and commitment to driving results. Roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment Experience managing financial audits and working with external auditors Familiarity with SOX 404 control requirements is a plus Strong background in Cost Accounting is highly desirable Experience in financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, capital budgeting, long‑term strategic planning, and resource allocation Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, competing priorities Demonstrates the highest level of professional and ethical standards Effective leader, people manager, and team builder with a track record of developing talent Energetic, dedicated, and enthusiastic team player with a strong commitment to organizational success Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement PCI Pharma Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
